Initial assessment will be your first appointment where Lizzy will find out more about you and your main complaint. A full assessment will be conducted with a treatment, lasting approximately 1hr 30 mins.
Acupuncture Subsequent Treatment

Once Initial Assessment has been completed, Lizzy will form an appropriate treatment plan for you. Follow up consultation and treatment last approximately 45 mins-1 hour.
I have recently finished a course of treatment for an ankle injury, which although minor had quite a bit of swelling, bruising and stiffness in the joint. Lizzy was very professional in her approach and took a detailed history including the issues the injury was causing. Her knowledge of anatomy is exceptional and meant it was much easier to find the best treatment. She also gave me beneficial exercises I could do at home. We also worked at strengthening the joint including pilates to improve balance. This has enabled me to carry on being active and I find it easier to run and be active.
I was recommended to Lizzy following a calf strain 3 weeks before a 70.3 Ironman Triathlon, which could have stopped me completing the event. I've continued to have treatment since then and am delighted how she solved that injury and improved my overall movement. She gave me wonderful advice on how to strengthen and stretch, this has been demonstrated in my run pace and recovery time.
